What is Home Care?
"Home care" is a simple phrase that
encompasses a wide range of health and social
services. These services are delivered at home to
recovering, disabled, chronically or terminally
ill persons in need of medical, nursing, social,
or therapeutic treatment and/or assistance with
the essential activities of daily living. Home
care covers a wide range of services "within
the home". Home care not only focuses on the
clients' heatlhcare but on the clients'
"home concerns and responsibilities",
too! Home care can be provided to individuals and
families of all ages.

and want to spend their remaining

assistance to live dependability
due to illness, disability or

Chore Services:
Washing walls; window,
draperies, trash removal, general cleaning
Independent Living Assistance:
Assistance with banking;
paying bills; coordinating insurance records;
acting as Rep. in order to maintain public
benefits; applying for programs on the
clients behalf; monitoring and replenishing
groceries; writing checks; telephone supoport
to remind clients to take meds.
Travel Attendant:
Accompany client to medical or
other appointments; accompany client on
errands and to other activities ouside the
home.
Homemaker Services -
Meal preparation; grocery
shopping; grocery pruchase planning; trash
removal; errands for sole purpose of picking
up prescriptions; laundry; housecleaning;
dishes.
Personal Care Assistance:
Personal grooming and hygiene
care; meal preparations; monitors temp.,
blood pressure and respiration; laundry;
housecleaning;
Minor Home Modifications:
Modifications that enhance
accessibility such as ramps, doorways, etc.
Do you provide
respite/companion and 24 hour live-in care?.
Yes. We do have case loads that
require care 24/7 care..
Do you conduct criminal
background checks on the employees?.
Absolutley! Senate Bill 160
requires that criminal background checks be
conducted on any individual providing direct care
in a home. This policy is strongly enforced by
Gabriel Associates.
Do you accept PASSPORT
and/or Comcare Clients?.
Yes. Gabriel Associates is
recognized by the Dayton Area Agency on Aging,
PSA2, as a PASSPORT and COMCARE Service Provider
in Montgomery and Greene Counties.
Do you offer 24/7 on call
services?.
Yes. We always have professionals available to
help you after business hours.
